Well, this has been a long time coming, but it’s time to get this rolling. To those that know me as Last Exile, Last Sinner, Cryogenics or Last Cryogenics – welcome to Thirteenth Step. A place where yours truly will discuss various things like anime, manga, music, wrestling, World of Warcraft, happenings within Australia and Planet Earth, along with other things that suddenly emerged from a swirling miasma of scintillating thoughts and turgid ideas. A place where one can catch up, feel free of the restraints of rep systems and to speak freely within the grounds of morality, common sense and rant like Kaiji as he is under siege by the zawa-zawa.
The name of this blog comes from my favourite album of all time – Thirteenth Step by A Perfect Circle. Perhaps what one would call the alter ego of Tool, where James Maynard Keenan would team up with a different lineup, be more bold with his lyrics and vocal tonality and create pieces that you would never see made by Tool. If you like Tool and have never heard anything by A Perfect Circle, do check them out.
The first background image I’m using is a lovely original by an artist whose work name is Tomose Shunsaku. Do check out more of his work – he is exceptional with use of colour, faces and lighting.
To get some discussion going, I’ll post a review of one of my favourite animes – Minami-ke, in the next post. In the coming days I’ll also get some discussion on wrestling going, a bit about music as well as a local issue that has been the hot topic of South Australia lately – high school bullying.
